Overview

Cavero Tormented runs full Tormented Demons trips end to end. The demons harden against whatever style is hitting them, so the plugin keeps loadouts across the full combat triangle (Melee, Ranged & Magic) and swaps gear the moment the demon flips its overhead prayer. It handles the full mechanic set, casts your Arceuus spells & Thralls, consumes the demons' un-lootable floor boosts, loots, banks & restocks (with optional Grand Exchange auto-buy), and recovers your items from your gravestone if you die.

Made ridiculously easy to set up

Save one loadout per style, tick the spells you want, pick a bank, and press start — everything else is fully automatic, including Grand Exchange restocking when your bank runs short.

Designed for

  • Long, hands-off sessions with automatic banking and restock
  • Single-demon camps — it finds a player-free area and defends it
  • Both main and ironman accounts

Requirements

  • While Guthix Sleeps completed (access to the demons).
  • At least two gear sets from the combat triangle — Melee, Ranged and/or Magic (configure any two, or all three) — the plugin swaps between them.
  • Travel items: Guthixian temple teleport scrolls (a Tormented Demon drop — the fastest route in), or a lit sapphire lantern + tinderbox for the Tears of Guthix light-creature route.
  • A bank teleport in each loadout.
  • A bank location must be selected in Settings — there is no nearest fallback.

Quick start

  1. Open the Command Center and save your Melee, Ranged and/or Magic loadouts — gear, food, potions, a bank teleport, and travel items.
  2. In the loadout's Spell picker, tick any Arceuus spells or Thralls you want (Mark of Darkness, Dark Demonbane, Demonic Offering, Death Charge, Thralls), and toggle GE auto-buy if you'd like it to restock from the Grand Exchange.
  3. In the Combat tab, add any special-attack and punish weapons and set each one's attack style.
  4. In Settings, select a bank (required) and an optional world-hop interval.
  5. In the Loot tab, set the ignore list / minimum loot value and (optionally) enable Scatter infernal ashes.
  6. Start from anywhere — it restocks, banks, travels to the temple, and fights on its own.

Account compatibility

Supported

  • Main accounts
  • Ironman

Not recommended

  • Hardcore Ironman — the plugin recovers items from your gravestone, but a death still loses your Hardcore status.

Command Center

The whole plugin is driven from one window (there's no side panel). It opens on start; reopen it any time from the config button. The tabs:

Dashboard

Live status: engaged/idle, HP / prayer / spec, the demon's overhead and your overhead, kills, kills-hr, GP and GP-hr, the current method and area, and the next world-hop countdown.

Combat

Add your special-attack and punish weapons by clicking them in the picker, and assign each one an attack style (Melee/Ranged/Magic and the style slot) right in the same window.

Loadouts

Edit the Melee, Ranged and Magic loadouts inline. Food and the combat spell are managed by the plugin, so global settings show a "managed by the plugin" overlay. This is also where the GE auto-buy controls live (see below).

Loot

The loot ignore list, the minimum loot value, and the Scatter infernal ashes toggle.

Settings

The bank location (required), the world-hop min/max minutes, the "hop when players" behaviour, and the firebomb-dodge / discovery toggles.

Console & Bug Report

The live debug console and a bug-report form. If an error is logged while the console isn't open, the Console tab pulses red so you know to look.

Combat automation

Combat-triangle swapping

Tormented Demons pray against the style currently hitting them. The plugin reads the demon's overhead and, during its brief post-swap attack pause, swaps to another loadout (gear resolved by id or charge-insensitive name) so you're always attacking off-prayer. You can keep Melee, Ranged and Magic loadouts (any two, or all three), saved per RSN, and each loadout's attack style is auto-captured and re-selected on the swap. The offensive prayer follows the active style automatically (Piety · Rigour · Augury), and a carried Saturated / Imbued heart is invigorated while you're maging.

Protection prayers

Protection prayers are switched against the demon's attacks — both reactively (from an observed attack) and predictively (a camping demon that closes in is about to melee). Offensive prayer is the best you have unlocked for the active style.

Firebomb dodge

When the demon throws a fire bomb the plugin steps clear of the blast tiles before it lands, then resumes. There's a fallback dodge toggle in Settings for edge cases.

Distance standoff (Ranged & Magic)

When fighting at range — Ranged or Magic — the plugin holds a few tiles back so the demon has to approach, which is the tell that its next hit is melee, and keeps you out of its melee range. (Melee fights from adjacent, so the standoff doesn't apply there.)

Shield-down punishes

When the demon's fire shield drops (on wake and after each bomb) there's a one-hit punish window. The plugin swaps in your configured punish weapon for that single hit, then restores your main weapon.

Special attacks

Configure spec weapons in the Combat tab. Each picked spec/punish weapon carries its own attack style, so a Melee spec and a Ranged spec each swing correctly. The plugin swaps the weapon in, fires when energy allows, and swaps your main back — punishes take priority so the two never thrash the weapon slot.

Spells & Thralls

Open a loadout and use the Spell picker to choose what gets cast during the fight. Pick a spellbook, click the spell icons to add them, and they appear in the selected list underneath. The picker only lists spells the plugin actually casts, and it sets up auto-cast for you.

  • Mark of Darkness — kept refreshed on a timer so your Demonbane and curse casts stay empowered (it re-casts a little before it would lapse).
  • Dark Demonbane — the Arceuus attack spell built for demons; auto-cast when your staff supports it, otherwise cast manually.
  • Demonic Offering — smart ash handling — rather than scattering Infernal ashes one at a time, it batches a few and casts Demonic Offering on them for extra Prayer experience. It also offers any leftover ashes before a bank trip so none are banked or wasted, and if you've run out of runes to cast it, it simply leaves the ashes and carries on. (Turn on Scatter infernal ashes in the Loot tab and tick Demonic Offering in the Spell picker.)
  • Death Charge — smartly timed — fired only when the target is about to die (a random 10–15% HP threshold per demon), so its restore is never burned early.
  • Thralls — resummoned automatically on their ~10-second resurrection cooldown for free extra damage the whole session.
  • Cure Me — poison and venom cured as soon as they land.

Prayer & runes are handled

Nothing is cast unless you have the runes, and the prayer points for Thralls.

Smouldering floor boosts

Tormented Demons drop three smouldering items that cannot be picked up — they have no Take option, so the plugin uses them where they lie, each at the right moment so nothing is wasted:

Item Effect When the plugin uses it
Smouldering pile of flesh ~18 HP per bite, four bites; persists between bites and between kills Only while HP is missing — and the post-kill top-up prefers this free floor heal before spending your food
Smouldering gland Restores prayer over a short window Only when 10+ prayer points are missing, so none of the regen is wasted
Smouldering heart A ~super-combat stat boost Whenever available — a refresh is never wasted, and it saves potion doses

Because they can't be looted, the loot logic ignores them entirely — they're treated purely as boosts, consumed from the floor within the camp.

Loadouts & supplies

Per-style loadouts

Gear and supplies come from your saved loadouts — one each for Melee, Ranged and Magic (configure the ones you use), saved per account. There are no separate item pickers: food is whatever you tag as food and potions are matched by name. Food and the combat spell are managed by the plugin, so the loadout's global settings are shown as "managed by the plugin".

Item categories

Each inventory item can be tagged Food, Potion, Teleport or Jewellery. Teleport / charged-jewellery items can be set to "continue when consumed" so a spent teleport (e.g. a Guthixian scroll used to travel) doesn't trigger an endless restock.

GE auto-buy

Turn on Buy missing items in the loadout editor and, when the bank can't fill the loadout, the plugin travels to the Grand Exchange and buys what's missing at guide price (raised automatically if an offer won't fill). Each item has an optional Skip GE Buy toggle and a GE Buy Qty (it buys the loadout quantity by default). Untradeable items are excluded automatically.

Set your buy quantities

The Grand Exchange card shows a reminder to set each item's GE Buy Qty in its popup so it buys the right amount — do this once and restocking is fully hands-off.

Areas & other players

Camp selection

The plugin fights one demon at a time with a sticky target, and picks a player-free camp to settle in. Targeting is area-bound so it won't wander into a neighbouring camp's demon.

Intruder response

If another player camps within 15 tiles of you for long enough, the plugin throws a coin — it either world-hops or relocates to a different area. If every area is occupied, it world-hops and starts fresh. Coming back from a restock, it relocates immediately without waiting.

Looting

Looting is camp-bound and value-aware: an ignore list and a minimum loot value filter what's worth taking, and when the inventory is full it makes space with net-gain swaps (dropping a cheaper item for a more valuable one). Optionally, Scatter infernal ashes scatters ashes instead of banking them — or, if you tick Demonic Offering in the Spell picker, it batches the ashes and offers them for bonus Prayer XP instead of scattering (see Spells & Thralls).

Banking & restock

Smart re-fight

The plugin tracks how much food you used last kill and only stays for another kill while you still hold enough to cover it — otherwise it banks first. Restocking to a full kit happens before it walks back in.

Emergency teleport-out

If you drop critically low mid-fight, the plugin fires the bank teleport the same tick — no pacing gates in the danger zone — so the escape is as fast as the game allows.

Bank location

A bank must be selected in Settings — there is no nearest-bank fallback. If none is set, the plugin logs an error and pauses rather than guessing a destination. Keep a bank teleport in the loadout.

Death recovery

If you die, the plugin detects it and reads your gravestone location straight from the game. It banks the travel essentials (temple teleport scroll, or the sapphire-lantern route — and a Games necklace shortcut if you have one), travels back, loots the gravestone, re-equips the recovered gear, and carries on.

Grave timer & Hardcore

  • A gravestone lasts ~15 minutes before the items move to Death's Office — the plugin prioritises recovery over everything else, but if it can't reach the grave in time it pauses so you can recover manually.
  • Item recovery does not save Hardcore status — a death still de-hardcores the account. Don't run this on an HCIM you care about.

Breaks & world hopping

  • Break handler — supported, and breaks only happen at the bank, after restocking. A due break routes a normal bank trip first (finishing the current kill, eating, and looting on the way out), so a break can never strand you mid-fight.
  • World hopping — set a min / max minutes interval (0 = off); a random time in that range is rolled each cycle and the hop fires outside the temple, with a live countdown on the Dashboard.

Troubleshooting

It pauses saying "No bank location selected"

A bank is required — there's no nearest fallback. Open the Command Center → Settings and choose a bank, then unpause.

It pauses saying the bank is short on supplies

The bank can't fill the loadout (a missing item means the withdrawal never finishes). Restock the bank with everything the loadout lists — or enable GE auto-buy so it buys the missing items — then unpause.

I died and it won't recover my gravestone

It needs travel items in the bank (a temple teleport scroll, or a sapphire lantern + tinderbox) to get back. If none are banked, or the grave expired to Death's Office before it arrived, it pauses so you can recover manually. Keep travel items stocked in the bank.

The Console tab is glowing red

That means an error was logged while the console was closed. Open the Console tab to read it — the glow clears once you do.

It keeps swapping styles

That's the intended behaviour — the demon hardens against the style hitting it, so the plugin swaps to keep attacking off-prayer. Make sure the loadouts you've configured (Melee, Ranged and/or Magic) are saved and complete so each swap has gear to switch into.
